Otis Orchards and East Farms
These two areas share a census designation and are an ideal "small town" setting for rural family living. The two communities combine to form a total area of ~8 square miles and are located north of Liberty Lake and Greenacres, just south of the Idaho-Washington state line.
The majority of Otis Orchards and East Farms real estate consists of single family homes with 3-4 bedrooms although 5-6 bedroom plans can also be found. Most homes offer between 1,000 and 3,400 square feet. Properties in the area tend to be spacious, frequently offering 1 to 6 acres. Lots in the area are marked by well-manicured lawns, sprawling trees and gorgeous views.
As of the 2010 census, Otis Orchards has a population of more than 6,200 people. Several neighborhoods in the area include - River Run Estates, Sunrise Meadows, Highland Estates and two mobile home parks. Dwellings are not far from the Gateway Regional Park which offers more than 2,000 feet of shoreline and is home to the famous Centennial Trail. The beloved park also includes a conservation area, several designated picnic spots and a dog park.
Families living within the boundaries of Otis Orchards and East Farms send their children to schools in the East Valley School District. The district extends to the Idaho border and also covers areas north of the Spokane River and the foothills of Mount Spokane. Children progress through Otis Orchards Elementary, East Valley Middle, and East Valley High. Another option within the district is the Continuous Curriculum School
which covers kindergarten through 8th grade.
